Since 1945 and via eleven governments our foreign policy debates and decision-making have been seen through the prism of the EU vs US. This is absurd in a world where information can travel thousands of miles in a matter of minutes, where events on Wall Street can affect people in Worthing and where crimes are committed not only by our citizens but outsiders.
