What will be making the news across the world in January?
In this world of the unexpected, I predict that these will be three of the stories likely to dominate international news coverage:
—the Iraqi Parliamentary elections;
—the inauguration of President Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America;
—the political brinkmanship in Canada. When Parliament resumes on January 26th, the Liberals will have to decide whether they support stable government for Canada or whether political posturing is more important than delivery for the population.
