Following Obama’s inauguration, many Canadians seemed to be breathe a sigh of relief. Change seemed to be an international phenomenon and not just intra-national. Indeed, the fact that Stephen Harper was one of the first world leaders to be graced with an audience with the president, seemed to lend weight to this hope.
But today’s ‘environmental synchronisation’ story in the Globe and Mail seems to raise a question mark over the sustainability of this ‘new’ dawn.
