The events in Guinea are a tragedy for that country, but also for the entire continent.
Guinea must ensure that it is not viewed through the same prism as Zimbabwe, but rather through the same prism as countries like Liberia.
This will only be done if civilian rule is restored and free and fair elections held at the earliest opportunity.
