Any end in sight?

Is there any end in sight to the suffering of the Sudanese people?

It seems not with the President, Omar al-Bashir, today touting plans to expel all foreign aid groups and let aid be distributed by Sudanese aid organisations.

Some aid may be distributed this way but it is clear that a ‘government’ who have presided over the disintegration of Darfur (not to mention the remainder of the country) cannot and should not be given the benefit of the doubt that it will put its words into actions.
